Lot Description

A turn of the century Chinese export silver pepper, the quatrefoil form with panelled decoration. Marked to the underside WC 90, attributed to Wang Chung, Hong Kong. Height measuring 4.5 cm, weight 27.7 grams.

The pepper displays some general wear and tarnishing, also surface marks and scratches. A couple of minor edge knocks/dints. Some rubbing and slight loss of surface detail to areas of the decoration. Visible solder along seam lines and joins. The lid is a good fit, residues of polish visible to the holes. The interior appears quite heavily tarnished or stained. The marks to the underside are a little rubbed but still clearly legible.
