Lot Description

An early 20th century Egyptian Revival gold, diamond and gem-set brooch. The carved moonstone scarab with ruby and rose-cut diamond surround, to the rose-cut diamond accent openwork wing sides. Austrian marks. Length 4.6cms. Weight 6.2gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Rubies medium purplish-red, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.<p>

<li>Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
