Lot Description

A George II sparrow beak cream jug of classic bellied form and scratch initialled to the underside, Hallmarked London, probably 1738, maker's mark ?.B height measuring 3 inches (7.5 cm). Together with a Victorian silver cream jug, the bulbous body embossed with a zodiac border between further chased motifs, Hallmarked London 1876. Gross weight 4.3 ozt (136 grams). (2).

Both cream jugs display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Solder repairs visible to the George II example, also a number of minor dents and bumps. Hallmarks to the George II example are partly erased.
