Lot Description

A Victorian dual compartment vesta box with cigar cutter, missing piercer, the oblong form with floral decoration and crested cartouche, hallmarked Benjamin Barling & Sons, London 1860, length measuring 6 cm. Together with an early twentieth century silver vinaigrette, hallmarked Birmingham 1911 and a Dutch silver pill box. Gross weight 2.6 ozt (83 grams). (3).

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The decoration, definition and vesta strike to the combination box are worn. Dutch box also heavily worn and dented, also with personal initial engraving. Vinaigrette case in good condition. Hallmarks clear and legible, Dutch assay marks partly obscured to base.
