Lot Description

A George III silver salver, the circular form with central initialled cartouche, raised edge with gadrooned rim and later personal inscription to the underside. Hallmarked London 1774 with the maker's mark I.C. Diameter measuring 8 3/4 inches (22.5 cm), weight 15.5 ozt (484 grams).

In good overall condition, displaying general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints. Cartouche engraving also appears to have been added later. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
