A Japanese silver dressing table set.

Lot Description
A Japanese dressing table set, to include two silver mounted rectangular hinged boxes with wood lined interiors, a circular silver box with detachable cover, and three accessories, each of hammered finish with stylised flowers and reeds and initialled cartouche. The three boxes marked Sterling, the accessories appear unmarked.

Condition Report
The dressing table set displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous dents visible to the circular box, alongside other minor dints and bumps to other pieces. Areas where the hammered decoration has rubbed. Deterioration of the steel mounts to the accessories. The metal hinges also show some degradation. The boxes with small splits visible to a few of the corners, the silver mounts also pulling away from the wooden body in places.
