A continental pedestal dish or comport, the shallow dish with ornately pierced wide border depicting putti holding floral garlands over foliate scroll panels adorned with birds, raised on a figural stem of bird and putto having ebonised supports and leading to a similarly decorated octagonal sided base. Marked to dish and base with MIR and 916%, the base further marked with a pentagram. Maximum height measuring 7 7/8 inches (20 cm).
