Lot Description

A pair of early Victorian silver entree dishes, each of circular shallow form with shaped gadroon rim to a plain centre. Hallmarked Robert Garrard, London 1846, also with impressed name and address. Maximum diameter measuring 11 1/4 inches (28.5 cm), weight 57.64 ozt (1792 grams).

The dishes appear in good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear and tarnishing. Various contact marks and scratches are visible to interior and undersides of the dishes. A couple of minor dints. Hallmarks are rubbed and marker's marks with some distortion but all still legible.
