Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver reproduction of The Tudor Cup (Holms Cup), the circular bowl, chased with scale panels, below a Latin inscription 'Benedictus deus im dona suis ame' and standing on a fluted and beaded pedestal foot. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, London 1916. Height measuring 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm), weight 11.3 ozt (347 grams).

The cup displays general scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Quite heavily tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish. Probably one time gilded, now worn and only really visible to the underside. Hallmarks clear and legible.
