Lot Description

An 1920's silver mounted jewellery or trinket box, the circular body with hinged cover decorated with blue guilloche enamel and opening to a silver-gilt and material lined interior. Hallmarked Birmingham 1927, probably by William Devenport. Diameter measuring 3 1/8 inches (8 cm).

In good overall condition displaying general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Heavy tarnishing and remnants of old polish to the creases. Minor dints. Enamel in good overall condition, displaying a couple of deeper scratches and minor nibbles to the very edge. Hallmarks very worn. Material inner worn, particularly the rexine to the underside which also looks to be a replacement. Wobbles slightly.
