Lot Description

A George III silver sifter caddy spoon in the form of a shovel or dustpan with simple scroll handle, the bowl having star pierced motifs within stippled borders, hallmarked Birmingham 1805 with maker's mark 'IT', possibly John Turner, maximum length measuring 5.3 cm, weight 7.65 grams. Together with a plated novelty spirit measure modelled as thimble and a miniature or toy serpentine front commode in French eighteenth century style. (3).

All three pieces displaying some tarnishing and general surface wear, marks and scratches. A couple of minor dints to the spoon and edge nicks. Hallmarks are a little distorted but still legible. The hinged lid to the commode appears in working order although it does not sit flush and raises slightly. Two illegible marks to underside of base. The thimble with maker's mark to base for William Hutton & Sons.
