Lot Description

A late Victorian silver christening mug, of plain circular form profusely decorated with scrolls and flowers surrounding an engraved monogram, leading to a flat top curved handle, hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1894, height measures 3 3/8 inches (8.8 cm). Together with a 1940's silver mug, of typical plain baluster form with engraved monogram and scroll capped handle, the whole raised upon a circular stepped foot, hallmarked London 1944. Gross weight 18.5 ozt (577.6 grams). (2).

In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Both would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but still legible. The Victorian mug is also marked 53656 beneath the Walker & Hall flag to the base.
