Lot Description
An Arts & Crafts small silver flagon, the tapering body with planished finish, hinged domed cover, raised on a flared foot with faint inscription and embossed foliate band below an applied rope-twist border. Hallmarked Guild of Handicraft, London 1907. Height measuring 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm), weight 12.7 ozt (396 grams).

Condition Report
The flagon displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Numerous areas of pitting to the silver surface and solder repairs visible. Particular repair to the join of the thumb-piece and a reinforcement panel to the inside of the cover. Pitted solder repairs to the seam along the foot and one small hole. The band of embossed decoration is rubbed with some loss of definition to the decoration. Hinge allows some sideways movement. Hallmarks clear and legible.
