Lot Description

An early 20th century diamond and synthetic sapphire brooch. Comprising three entwined rose-cut diamond and calibre-cut synthetic sapphire circles, with old and rose-cut diamond foliate accents, suspending an old-cut diamond swag. With a box-link chain. Pearl deficient. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 2 to 2.50cts. Length 4.8cms. Weight 11.6gms.

<li>Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>

<li>Principal diamond estimated K-L colour, VS2-SI1 clarity. Grading limited by the setting, grades may differ.

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.

<li>Some sapphires are natural, majority synthetic, not all tested.

<li>Some replacement stones.

<li>Sapphires medium-dark blue, fairly well matched.<p>

<li>Stones in good condition with minor abrasions, one sapphire is chipped.<p>
