Lot Description
A diamond and ruby necklace. Of openwork design, the rose-cut diamond and calibre-cut ruby stylised fan, with floral highlights and drops, suspended from similarly-designed geometric panel sides and replacement fancy-link chain. Length 38cms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition poor. Significant scratches/wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>One ruby deficient.
<li>Soft solder repairs visible to the reverse.
<li>One of the side panels attached via a replacement loop, uneven to the other side.
<li>Rubies have not all been tested. Some possibly synthetic.
<li>Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.
<li>Diamonds are in a closed back setting, principal diamond pear-shape measures 6 by 5.2mms.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Rubies medium pinkish-red, well saturated, and fairly well matched.<p>
<li>Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.<p>
<li>Integral chain suspected base metal.
