An early Victorian 9ct gold foil-back garnet necklace. Designed as a row of oval-shape claw-set foil-back garnets, with five flower shape clusters of pear-shape garnets with circular centre stones, to a push-piece clasp, with removable garnet-set extender. Length 32cms plus 7.5cms extender. Weight 17.8gms.
