Lot Description

A selection of early 19th to early 20th century jewellery. To include a New Zealand jade bar brooch, the lozenge shape jade with applied NZ and a fern leaf, together with a pendant of oval outline, with a swallow set with split pearls and holding a green gem drop to its beak. Lengths 0.9 to 5cms.

Overall fair to good condition, with generally light to moderate surface scratches. The heart shape pendant has not got glass, the paste buckle shows minor abrasion to most of the pastes with a large chip to two of the pastes. The pietra dura brooch has a replacement pin and the collet setting is misshapen in areas. There is minor abrasion to the garnets in the drop earrings, with one central garnet with two surface reaching fractures and one seed pearl is deficient. The colourless paste brooch has minor abrasion to some of the pastes and a few of the outer pastes show yellowing. The three buttons have no fittings to the reverse and have solder marks visible.
