Lot Description

A Keswick School of Industrial Arts silver-plate on copper hors d'oeuvres or entree dish. Attributed to Jeremiah Richardson, having a strapwork handle and Celtic knotwork designs between the three planished divisions, stamped KSIA KESWICK B314 beneath, 10.75", (27cm) wide.
A slightly smaller but comparable example signed by Richardson sold PFK Penrith, Cumbria, 19th July 2006 lot 1.
Jeremiah Richardson worked as a craftsman at the School from before 1891 until 1910, becoming Foreman in 1905. His work was featured in 'The Studio Magazine' in 1900 and 1902.
