A 19th century French Sevres-style porcelain-mounted brass and ormolu mantel clock. Japy Freres & Cie, Paris, The 3-inch cellular Roman dial with floral wreath and bird to centre, reserved on a bleu celeste ground, the two-train bell-striking movement with Japy Freres Medaille d'Honneur Exposition stamp, numbered 1562, the case with twin-handled urn surmount over waisted arched body with beaded bezel and convex glazed dial between cast foliate wings flanking a porcelain panel of lowers in a landscape, with further landscape panel to apron on toupee feet, 14.25", (36cm) high.

Condition Report
Panel beneath dial has been cracked and relined, and the upper right side of border repainted. The dial is stained and there is minor tarnishing to arched room and to edges of brasswork. Serviced 2008.
