A late Victorian gold opal and diamond crescent brooch, circa 1870. The graduated opal cabochon crescent, with diamond point spacers. Length 7.1cms. Weight 7.8gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Opals well match with strong play-of-colour throughout displaying blues, green, orange and reds.

<li>One opal is a replacement. It appears slightly shallow in the setting, however it is quite well matched in colour.

<li>Diamonds well matched.

<li> Diamonds bright.<p>
