Lot Description

Two early 20th century gem set brooches. The first a silver gilt brooch by Charles Horner, designed as a heart-shape yellow paste, flanked by curling detail, the second a bar brooch with spider to the centre, set with pale blue and dark blue pastes. Lengths 3.6 to 5.5cms. Weight 6.9gms. Second with fitted box.

The condition of this lot is fair, with both brooches displaying visible signs of wear, in keeping with age to both pastes and metal. The box to the second is worn and the lining torn and frayed.
