A late Georgian diamond Maltese cross pendant. Of openwork design, the old-cut diamond cluster, with similarly-set quatrefoil arm surround and later surmount loop. Estimated total diamond weight 4.50 to 5cts. Length 4.1cms. Total weight 12.4gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Slight wear to some fittings, may require attention. Few possible replacement diamonds.
<li>Brooch fittings to reverse, pin deficient and pin hinge may require attention.
<li>Pendant fitting may be later, well matched in colour.
<li>The surmount loop is a later replacement.
<li>Diamonds bright and well matched.
<li>Diamonds in closed back settings, presumed foil back.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Levels of inclusions vary. Central diamond and few others with fairly profuse dark inclusions. SOme diamonds with no obvious inclusions under 10x.
<li>One diamond with noticeable chip. Few diamonds with small nicks and slight abrasion.
