Lot Description
Two late 19th century gold brooches. The first a Mizpah brooch designed as two hearts, one with applied letters reading 'Mizpah' and the engraved bible extract, to the bow, ivy and horseshoe detail, together with a Scottish brooch of dirk design, inlaid with agate to the blade and a faceted smoky quartz to the terminal. Lengths 3.9 to 4.7cms. Weight 5.1gms.

The condition of this lot is fair, with surface marks and scratches to the gems and metal in keeping with general wear. The Mizpah brooch has signs of a stamp, possibly a hallmark, to the reverse.
