A late Victorian gold garnet memorial brooch. The bar brooch with applied textured heart shape, set with garnet, suspending a cross-shape drop with foliate detail, a garnet cabochon to the front and a glazed hair panel to the reverse. Length 5.2cms. Weight 5.1gms.

The condition of this lot is good to fair. There are visible signs of discolouration, tarnish and surface scratching to the gold in keeping with age and wear. The pin is stamped 9ct. The heart and cross though a similar age to the pin have been added to the pin later.
