Lot Description

An early twentieth century small silver hip flask, the plain and rounded oblong form with bayonet style locking to the globular hinged lid. Hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1914. Maximum height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), gross weight 3.66 ozt (114 grams)

The hip flask displays expected general wear and tarnishing. There are numerous surface marks, scratches and nicks and some of these are quite deep. Also a few shallow surface dints are visible. Hinged lid appears in good working order. Remnants of cork. Hallmarks are clear and legible with some light rubbing. Lion passant visible to lid.
