Lot Description

A 1950's three piece silver condiment set including an open salt, mustard pot and pepper, each of plain circular form with stepped base, the mustard and open salt with blue glass liners and condiment spoons, hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1959, pepper dated 1960. Together with an Edwardian silver cigarette case with engraved scroll decoration, Birmingham 1908, a George V silver swing-handled pierced bonbon dish, two silver napkin rings, a pair of silver sugar tongs with claw terminals, etc. Gross weighable silver 6.4 ozt (200.2 grams).

In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The open salt and mustard pot are marked '36767 England' to the base. Minor bump and dents to the cigarette case, loss of definition to the decoration. Some minor bumps to the pierced gallery on the bonbon dish, hallmarks apart from the maker's mark rubbed and worn, partial hallmarks to the handle clear. No personal engravings to one napkin ring, one engraved with the number '2'. Smart water marks to the base of some pieces. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
