Lot Description

A Middle Eastern damascened mixed metal casket. 19th century, the hinged rectangular cover finely decorated in raised silvered Arabic script and conforming foliate scrollwork, within copper borders on a brass ground with engraved diaperwork, the body decorated to all sides with similar lunettes and roundels, 10.5" x 5" x 3.25" high, (26.5cm x 12.5cm x 8.5cm).
