Lot Description

A good turquoise glass and enamel jewellery casket. Possibly Palais Royal or Moser, of canted rectangular form with hinged cover over twin loop handles on matching feet, the whole with enamelled wreath and gilt banded decoration, 5" x 3.5" x 5" high, (13cm x 3cm x 13cm).

Condition Report

Mounts are slightly loose and would benefit from a clean. Some gilt rubbing, especially to flatter areas of vermicular decoration which in some places has been erased. Otherwise sound with no cracks or chips visible (some minor losses concealed beneath mounts).
