Lot Description

Maria Chalon, (1800-1867), a portrait miniature, probably on ivory, depicting a young gentleman with white stick, black jacket and khaki overcoat, bust-length seated in a red chair, circa 1830, signed verso to window mount, 4" x 3", (10cm x 7.5cm), in gilt slip and a cavetto-moulded ebonised frame with brass flowerheard corner mounts.
