Lot Description

A pair case pocket watch by Thomas Winson. Silver cases, hallmarked London possibly 1771. Signed key wind full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement, pierced balance cock and square baluster pillars. White enamel dial. Outer case 49mm. Together with a pair case pocket watch by H.Musgrove. All recommended for spares or repair purposes only.

<li>Movement is not currently functioning.

<li>Movement is in a very poor condition with noticeable signs of rust. The fusee chain does not appear to be attached and general rust is present on many of the gears and functional parts of the movement and will necessitate repair.

<li>Dial appears to be in a poor condition with noticeable marks and damage to the enamel.

<li>There are no hands.

<li>Glass has noticeable scratches and marks.  

<li>Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints.

<li>Hinges have some play.

<li>Included pocket watch is not currently functioning and is in poor condition, the movement has marks, scratches and tarnishing visible to the naked eye, the dial has marks, scratches and damages, one of the hands is missing and the dial is detached and can fall off should the item be inverted with the glass open.
