Lot Description

A mid 20th century Royal Naval Reserve wool coat. A double-breasted Royal Naval Reserve wool melton dress coat with gold-tone buttons, Lieutenant rank insignia to shoulders, a notched lapel collar, half belt, two outer pockets and one inner pocket including button storm flap for collar. Labelled C. H. Bernard & Sons, February 1961.

Condition Report

The condition of the coat is fair to good, with slight wear to the wool at cuffs, inner collar and front edging; there are some small pulls to areas of the twill lining fabric, and some damage to the fabric on the hanging loop at the inner collar.

The chest measures approximately 41 inches; nape to hem approximately 49 inches.
