A 17th century brass-bound vellum book. At fault, the original plates now missing, 'Archontologia Cosmica', Matthaeo Merian, Johann Ludwig Gottfried, Frankfurt, 760pp (uncollated) plus index, in stamped vellum with brass corners and hasps.

Ink annotation to spine. Some rubbing to spine ribs, scuffing and minor splits/losses to upper edge of spine. Interior - plate pages have been replaced with loose plain inserts. Otherwise appears sound but is uncollated and sold as seen.
