Lot 103

Lot Description

An Edwardian silver mounted inkwell, of quatrefoil cut-glass form with feet, the foliate embossed globular hinged lid with vacant cartouche, the collar with attached pen rest. Hallmarked T H Hazlewood & Co., Birmingham 1902. Maximum height measuring 4 2/8 inches (10.7 cm).

Postage: Not Postable

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some minor chips and nibbles to the cut-glass body. Visible signs of glue around the collar, looks like the silver mount may have been reapplied and not aligned flush with the glass, causing it to appear off centre slightly. The hinge lid is a bit loose with some sideways movement. Hallmarks clear and legible.
