Lot Description

A 1930's plain silver sauce boat of typical bellied form with shaped rim and raised on three pad feet, hallmarked Viner's Ltd., Sheffield 1939, length measuring 6 7/8 inches (17.5 cm). Together with a smaller, later sauce boat having gadroon rim, foliate capped scroll handle and stepped hoof feet, hallmarked Parkin Silversmiths Ltd., Sheffield 1978, length measuring 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). Weight 9.15 ozt (284.5 grams). (2).

Both sauce boats appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general expected tarnishing, wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Some minor surface nicks. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
