Lot Description

A 1930's silver six piece condiment set comprising a pair of pepper pots, a pair of open salts with blue glass liners and a pair of mustard pots, each of bulbous form with gadroon borders and raised on three mask capped shell feet, mustard pots missing glass liners, also with a single mustard spoon, hallmarked Fowler & Polglaze Ltd., London 1934, spoon dated 1933. Gross silver weight 20.64 ozt (642 grams).

All pieces are quite heavily tarnished, especially the pair of open salts. Also patches of green tarnishing. General surface wear, marks and scratches and a few minor surface dints. One of the mustard pot lids does not sit completely flush. Both the pepper pot lids are a tight fit. Residues of pepper to both. One of the salt feet is a little bent. One glass liner repaired and glued. Hallmarks are mostly clear and legible, some rubbing and distortion to maker's mark.
