A silver plated and clear glass claret jug, the circular cut-glass base leading to a wrythen moulded body with trailing floral panels, rising to a silver plated hinged mount with foliate embossed decoration and flat top engraved handle. Appears unmarked. Maximum height measures 11 2/8 inches (28.6 cm).

In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The silver plated mount is heavily tarnished and dented/compressed along the rim. Remnants of polish visible. Appears unmarked, apart from the numbers 16185? to the interior rim of the lid.
