Lot Description

A late Victorian silver chatelaine. The upper section designed as a bearded face, with putti and lions heads around it, suspending from belcher-link and foliate-link chains five items, including a heart-shape perfume bottle, a whistle and a thimble holder, with thimble. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1889, 1893 and 1894. Length 25.5cms. Weight 107.7gms.

The condition of this lot is fair, with dints and scratches to the silver in keeping with age and wear. There are areas of discolouration and tarnish. The pin cushion fabric and padding has dried up and is now hard. The scissors are deficient to the scissor case and the case has some dark discolouration to it.
