Lot Description

A modern silver mounted claret jug, the tapered clear glass form with star-cut base and decorated with diamond cut motifs, rising to the plain silver collar mount with embossed Bacchus head spout and slightly domed hinged lid with bud finial, the scrolling handle with zoomorphic terminal. Hallmarked Laurence R Watson & Co., Sheffield 1977. Maximum height measuring 11 1/8 inches (28.5 cm).

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The mount is heavily tarnished, would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks clear and legible.
