Lot Description

A pair of German silver mounted decanters, the slender cylindrical neck with plain silver collar and removable globular glass stopper, leading to a cut-glass bellied body with star-cut base, marked 800 alongside the reichsmark and pictorial maker's mark for Hugo Böhm, height measuring 10 inches (25.6 cm). Together with a 1920's silver mounted photograph frame, the oval aperture with conforming plain surround and mounted on a wooden easel reverse, hallmarked Synyer & Beddoes (Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes), Birmingham 1920, a further smaller 1920's silver mounted photograph frame, three silver lidded glass pots, a silver lidded cut-glass bottle, etc.

In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor bump to one of the rims on the decanters with minor chips and nibbles to the cut-glass bodies. The easel support of the larger 1920's frame is partly detached at the hinge which has replacement screws, requires attention. The smaller photograph frame has multiple dents and creases around the edge of the mount. Minor nibbles to the cut-glass pots/bottle, one with a more significant chip to the interior rim, the silver lids has some small holes and creases. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible. This lot may have export issues, for customers outside of the EU, please note that it is the buyers responsibility to adhere to any import/export requirements.
