Lot Description

A selection of flatware to include a late Victorian part set of ten silver coffee spoons and a pair of sugar tongs, each of Albany pattern, contained within a fitted case, hallmarked Harrison Brothers & Howson (Henry Harrison), Sheffield 1895, sugar tongs dated 1894. Together with two George V cased sets of six silver teaspoons in Albany pattern, a 1920's cased set of six silver coffee bean spoons, a George IV pair of Irish silver condiment spoons, hallmarked Dublin 1828, etc. Gross weighable silver 12.3 ozt (385 grams).

In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The part set of ten coffee spoons and sugar tongs has two further spaces for spoons, the fitted case has a split/loss to one corner with heavier scuffs to the bottom. Some staining and discolouration to the other fitted cases. The silver handled cake knife has a stainless steel blade with serrated edge, its fitted box has water marks and discolouration. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
