An early Victorian silver 'castletop' card case, of oblong form with scalloped edge and ornate foliate scrolls surrounding a view in high relief of Windsor Castle from the river, with further foliate scrolls to the reverse surrounding a monogrammed shield cartouche. Hallmarked David Pettifer, Birmingham 1857. Height measuring 3 7/8 inches (10 cm), weight 1.9 ozt (56.4 grams).
