Lot Description

An early 20th century silver and 18ct gold, opal and diamond cluster ring. The marquise-shape opal cabochon, with rose-cut diamond surround and stylised floral shoulders. Estimated dimensions of opal 14 by 9 by 5.3mms. Ring size R1/2. Weight 3.9gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Band resized, slight discolouration and lines visible to the back of the band.


<li>Diamonds well matched.


<li>Cut and individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate weight, colour and clarity assessment.<p>


<li>Opal is a whitish body colour with strands of yellow which have no play of colour. Play of colour is generally good with predominently green, yellow and orange hues.

<li>Light brown matrix visible to the reverse.

<li>Moderate surface abrasion.

<li>Length of ring head 1.7cms.
