Lot Description

Two late 19th century retractable pencils with hardstone terminals. The first with a shield-shape carnelian terminal to an engraved mount, the banded barrel with sliding mechanism, the second with a circular white chalcedony terminal and a textured barrel. Lengths (when retracted) 4.6 to 7.6cms. Weight 9.9gms.
