Lot Description

A set of six early Victorian silver egg spoons, each of Fiddle Thread pattern with engraved initial to the terminal, contained within a fitted case, hallmarked Elizabeth Eaton, London 1846, length measuring 4 6/8 inches (12.3 cm). Together with five George IV and later silver mustard spoons, each of Fiddle pattern (one Fiddle Thread), one with engraved monogram, hallmarks for London 1822-1876, various maker's marks including Chawner & Co (George William Adams). Gross weight 7.3 ozt (225.9 grams).

In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some of the mustard spoons appear to have gilded bowls. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
