Lot Description

A late Victorian 15ct gold diamond brooch. The old-cut diamond floral cluster and sides, inset to the geometric panel, with cannetille detail. Estimated total diamond weight 0.55ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1894. Length 5.5cms. Weight 9.9gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches, general discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Wear to the gilt finish.

<li>Oval glazed panel to the reverse.

<li>Diamonds bright and well matched.

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Mostly minor, few inclusions. Principal diamond with small surface reaching feather. One of the diamonds to the surround significantly chipped to the pavillion.
