A late Victorian gold sapphire signet ring. The cushion-shape sapphire cabochon, with engraved sides. Ring size L1/2. Weight 2.7gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Band has been resized.
<li>Sapphire is a replacement stone.
<li>Sapphire is a medium blue, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions, some of which are surface reaching.<p>
<li>Sapphire is in fair to good condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles.<p>
<li>Length of ring head 0.9cms.
<li>Engraved to inner band 'Thomas Canham Oct 23rd'.
