Lot Description

An early 20th century 18ct gold ruby and enamel fob watch. The circular dial with Roman numerals, to the blue enamel and basket and star motif case, suspended from a ruby accent blue enamel bow brooch. Length 5.5cms. Total weight 24.2gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Brooch pin, base metal.

<li>Fob watch has detachable surmount clasp.

<li>Enamel is in good to fair condition with minor abrasion. Small surface chips to the front, at the 12 o'clock position.

<li>Probably re-enamelled, some parts with an uneven finish.

<li>Rubies are a purplish red hue. One appears slightly cloudy.

<li>Two rubies in good condition with minor nicks. One chipped.<p>

<li>Grazed panel with minor scratches.

<li>Stamped 'K.18 0.750' to the inside of the case back.  

<li>Diameter of watch face 2.6cms. (Does not include crown and surmount.)
