Lot Description
A late Victorian silver trinket box, of heart shape with hinged lid, the whole with embossed floral design, hallmarked Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1897, maximum length measuring 6.5cm. Together with four small silver pill boxes, all marked 925, one hallmarked London import 1985. Gross weight 3.18 ozt (99.0 grams).

Condition Report
Appearing in fair to good overall condition, all boxes displaying some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use and to varying degrees. Heart shaped box with several small holes to the lid and sides where embossing is thin, hinge pin to lid sticking out but appears in working order, lid rising slightly when closed. Hinged lids on other boxes appear in good working order and all close well. Hallmarks mostly clear and legible, some light rubbing.
