A mid-eighteenth century silver wine label by Sandilands Drinkwater, of escutcheon form and decorated with fruiting vine surrounding pierced lettering for Sherry. Hallmarked with lion passant and maker's mark only. Maximum length measuring 5.3 cm, gross weight 10 grams.

Condition Report
Appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some expected general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Possible small repair to the top of the second letter R. Rubbing and wear to the decoration resulting in loss of surface detail. Lion passant clear and legible, maker's mark a little distorted. Likely metal suspension chain.
