Lot Description

An Edwardian Art Nouveau silver mounted photograph frame, the rectangular form with easel back and silver mount embellished with sinuous tendril and floral motifs. Hallmarked A & J Zimmerman Ltd., Birmingham 1902. Height measuring 8 inches (20.2 cm).

Condition Report

The frame appears in used condition. The silver mount displays some tarnishing and general surface wear, marks and scratches and is lifting slightly as there are some fixing pins missing. Also some slight loss of detail to decoration. Dent visible to cartouche and the engraved crest is quite worn. The easel back is damaged and partly missing and the material has almost completely worn away. Hallmarks clear and legible, maker's mark a little distorted by residues of polish.
